XPinnovates Partners with GIZ to Deliver eunite Startups4Peace
Over the past two months, XPinnovates has proudly partnered with eunite in Cyprus to deliver an innovative bicommunal startup programme that fosters collaboration and economic growth. This initiative brought together entrepreneurs from Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities to develop export-focused startups that can compete on the global stage.
GIZ International Services implements the Startups4Peace programme, which is co-funded by the EU Aid Programme for the TCc and the Embassy of Finland in Nicosia and within the scope of the eunite programme.
Building Bridges Through Entrepreneurship
The programme was designed to nurture entrepreneurial talent, bridge divides, and build meaningful connections between the two communities. By creating a space for shared goals and common challenges, we helped participants focus on what truly matters for their businesses: growth, innovation, and international expansion.
Intensive eunite Startups4Peace Two-Month Programme
Over the two months, XPinnovates and eunite worked closely with 10 selected startups, providing them with tailored mentoring, hands-on workshops, and access to a network of experienced business leaders. The programme was structured to guide participants through the stages of startup development, from refining their business models using the GrowthSprint framework to identifying viable export markets. Each startup received expert support in product development, customer validation, and market entry strategies.
Innovation at the Heart of Growth
The startups involved in the programme represented a diverse range of sectors, from technology and sustainable agriculture to fashion and wellness. Despite their different industries, each business had a shared focus on innovation and export-driven growth. By encouraging creative problem-solving and fostering resilience, we helped these companies develop the strategies and skills they need to succeed internationally.
Export-Ready and Future-Focused
By the end of the programme, all 10 startups had strengthened their business models and developed clear plans for entering export markets. Through mentorship and rigorous training, they identified key markets abroad and built the foundations for sustainable, scalable growth. The bicommunal nature of the programme added a unique layer of collaboration, proving that entrepreneurship can transcend divisions and create shared success.
Looking Ahead
This bicommunal startup programme’s success highlights entrepreneurship’s power to unite communities and drive economic development. As XPinnovates continues to support entrepreneurs in Cyprus and beyond, we are excited to see these 10 startups grow and thrive, carrying the values of innovation, collaboration, and export-driven focus with them as they expand into new markets.
